GE Appliances Dishwashers

verified Aug 2026

Louisville-built dishwashers under GE, GE Profile and Café badges — plus Monogram at the top. Owned by Haier since 2016.

What changed since our reviews: GE Appliances has been Haier-owned since 2016 (the old post’s "founded in 2002" claim described the spin-off entity, not today’s owner). Every model we covered is discontinued; the current range runs GE → GE Profile → Café → Monogram, with UltraFresh venting and Dry Boost in the mid tiers and Microban antimicrobial parts on Profile. Panel-ready models were announced across Profile, Café and Monogram for 2026.

Our GE Appliances guide

From our original guide, “Best GE Dishwasher 2018 Guide: Choose the Right Option for You” — written when the models above were current. The tables are the up-to-date record; the guide is the context.

If you are in the market for a new dishwasher, the GE dishwasher line may be exactly what you need in your life. Washing dishes by hand can be a pain in the rear, especially if they have a lot of stuck on food.

Sometimes cleaning all of those dishes during the holidays or after a night when you were feeling particularly creative takes an hour or more.

That’s not all though, if you’ve ever owned a mediocre dishwasher you know that can be just as frustrating. Nobody likes pulling their dinnerware out of the dishwasher, and finding last night’s mac-n-cheese still stuck to the plates.

Fortunately, GE dishwashers can save you all of that trouble. The only problem is: how do you choose the best model? Luckily for you, this handy guide can help.

About GE Appliances

GE Appliances, founded in 2002, is an American company based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Other than the GE dishwasher line, the company offers refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, air conditioners, and kitchen, laundry, and ventilation products.

Best GE Dishwasher 2018

GE specially designed their dishwashers line with keeping customers happy in mind. The company creates products that don’t impact their customers’ wallets with high utility bills.

They also pay close attention to the noise generated by the dishwashers and designed them in a way that keeps the decibel level low.

GE has three lines of products namely Cafe, Profile, and Monogram. The Monogram line of products are top of the line, luxurious appliances.

Meanwhile, the Cafe and Profile line of products cater to the needs of consumers with a mid-range budget for dishwashers.

GE Profile PDT855SBLTS

The GE Profile range of products adheres to the policy of providing customers with the best value for their money. It is a 24-inch smart dishwasher that is built-in. The GE dishwasher is a fully integrated variant of the Profile line of dishwashers.

The PDT855SBLTS has a black stainless steel body which easily compliments most kitchen decors. This stainless steel body is also very durable. The dishwasher also comes with 114 cleaning jets that thoroughly clean your dishes from every angle possible.

This model also comes with room for 16-place settings and seven wash cycles with 11 different options. It sports an additional third rack at the top, unlike most dishwashers.

The third rack cleans an entire cabinet of cutlery and other small utensils without much hassle.

The shelf dubbed as the top utility shelf is deep, and accommodates tall glassware and 10.5-inches plates.

Pros

  • You can schedule the dishwasher to wash while you are sleeping, or at work. The low operating sound level of 40dB means scheduling the device even during the late hours of the day is no problem.
  • The GE dishwasher comes stamped with the Energy Star which approves of its efficiency.

Cons

  • The only con of the high-end GE dishwasher is its drying capability. Although armed with the power-dry feature, the dishwasher fails to live up to the mark.
  • Drying your dishes after putting them through an intense cleaning routine can be quite frustrating, but some customers weren’t bothered by it.

GE Monogram ZDT870SIFII

The most luxurious line of appliances is the GE Monogram product line that offers exquisite and stylish products to the customers. The GE Monogram ZDT870SIFII is a sleek and stylish 24-inch fully-integrated dishwasher with a ton of useful and smart features.

The best part of owning any product of the Monogram line is that you can customize the appliance’s style to your kitchen decor.

This GE dishwasher flaunts a 104 cleaning jet system that provides in-depth and thorough cleaning for your dishware. The machine allows 16-place settings with seven wash cycles and eleven options.

The most outstanding feature of the Monogram ZDT870SIFII is its full-depth cabinet installation. The feature helps the dishwasher blend in with the cabinetry and furniture of your kitchen without compromising the rack capacity.

The dishwasher also sports LED lighting on the inside that can help you check the state of the dishes after running them through any of the wash cycles. Like the Profile model, the third adjustable rack can fit all the flatware in at once and make space for the long utensils and tall plates.

Moreover, the bottle jets can deep-clean the insides of your dishware and tall containers that are usually awkward in other machines.

Pros

  • The machine comes with a high-output, multi-speed fan that ensures your dishes come out adequately dried.
  • The dishwasher even sports a unique three-piece silverware basket to hold the utensils and keep them separated while cleaning.
  • There is a high-resolution LCD on top of the machine that lets you keep an eye on the whole process of washing, rinsing and drying.
  • You can wash a half-load with the availability of all the wash options and cycles. Another striking feature that catches the eye is its last cycle memory feature.
  • You can operate the machine without resetting it, again and again, in a particular wash cycle.
  • The maximum noise produced by the dishwasher reaches only 39dB earning it the title of the quietest dishwasher on this list. The appliance is Energy Star approved making it function at top efficiency at lower operating costs.

Cons

  • Some customers have performance issues with the device, saying there was food still left on some of their dishes.

GE GDT545PSJSS

The low price of the dishwasher makes it one of the most economical appliances on the market. When it comes to design, the company has gone with a simple but yet elegant look that can mix with your kitchen decor perfectly.

The GE dishwasher is big enough for a large family as it can hold 16 place settings. The appliance offers four wash cycles with eight wash options and an auto sense feature.

Like the expensive models of the company, the dishwasher comes with integrated sensors that can adjust the washing time and water temperature by sensing the amount of dirt on your dishes.

Additionally, its adjustable racks offer the facility of accommodating long and long utensils. The dishwasher provides a particular movable slot for the silverware that can be placed either on the door or the rack.

Pros

  • Meanwhile, the other pump removes the dirt from the dishware.
  • The unique system provides deep and thorough cleaning along with limiting the noise level to 51dB.
  • The most important benefit of owning the GE GD545PSJSS is its price that does not break the bank.

Cons

  • The model also comes with a warranty of just one year as opposed to the ten-year warranties on its expensive counterparts.
  • banAll-in-all the product is an excellent addition to the kitchen and fits in most of our budgets.
  • ban

GE Cafe CDT865SMJDS

The dishwasher is the part of the GE Cafe line of products. The GE Cafe CDT865SMJDS stands out amongst every dishwasher in the industry with 140 cleaning jets.

This GE dishwasher comes with the auto sense and sanitize wash option. And like its counterparts, the dishwasher is powered with bottle jets and deep clean silverware jets.

The machine comes with a hard food dispenser with a removable filter and sports a stylish LCD. The display offers user-friendly controls that manage the different wash options.

Pros

  • The machine allows washing full or half loads in any half of the dishwasher without compromising on the wash options available.
  • Better yet, its sound level of the device is just 40dB. The appliance comes with a running indicator because it is so quiet.
  • Furthermore, the dishwasher contains a fan and a hidden heater to ensure that the dishes adequately dried after being washed.

Cons

  • The major problem with this particular GE dishwasher model is its display. Reports from people suggest that the LCDs dysfunction quite quickly and are not durable.

Honorable mentions

However, the only difference between the expensive models and them is the number of wash cycles offered.

The costly models provide over seven wash cycles each while the mid-budget models feature only up to four wash cycles.
